666692122064 Manufactured to exact specifications, including diameter and length dimensions, weight and balance of factory loaded ammo, these DUMMIES have the proper functioning characteristics to reliably check magazine feeding, action timing, extraction and ejection of all guns. The only professionally accepted and safe way to check gun functioning; live ammo should never be used except in actual test-firing on the range - after you have checked the gun with DUMMIES. The very reasonable cost per DUMMY is an added incentive to use them regularly. The blackened case makes them distinct, and instantly recognizable as DUMMIES, which makes them ideal - and safe - to use as a sales aid. Especially useful when demonstrating how a particular gun functions or in gun safety instruction classes. They absolutely eliminate the chance of an accidental discharge. The .17 Mach 2 and .17 HMR dummies are not recommended for tubular magazines.Delivery time approx. 7-14 days.
Manufactured to exact specifications, the RIMFIRE DUMMY ROUNDS from A-ZOOM are designed for safe and reliable function testing of firearms.
Especially useful in demonstrating how a particular gun functions or in gun safety instruction classes, these dummies ensure a safe environment for both instructors and students. Please note that the .17 Mach 2 and .17 HMR dummies are not recommended for tubular magazines.

Excellent tools to check your actions 18/12/2015
I use these with my FN 'Trombone' pump action rifle.
After I've broken the rifle down, cleaned, and re-assembled it; I'll load these and run them through to make sure the action is still good.
It's worth stressing that these are NOT snap caps and can't (in fact shouldn't) be used as such.

they work very well for a proving round IF you're feeding from a detachable magazine rifle/pistol. the bottom of these dummy rounds are hollow and have a hole in them. it doesn't take a rocket scientist to know why this is a problem in a leveraction. the nose of the round you attempt to feed gets stuck in that hole of the following round and won't allow the round to feed up and into the chamber. it straight nose-dives and requires a tool to push the round back into place and then cycled close. a friend of mine has reported similar problems in his 10/22. it baffles me as to why they put a hole in the bottom of the round when just making it solid would solve these problems. they do function fine in my ruger mark 3 pistol and in my dad's bolt gun with a detatchable magazine. they also work well for teaching youngsters or new shooters firearm safety. if you make sure you keep these problems in mind and use these in a system that the hole in the bottom isn't an issue, they work well. just be sure not to dry fire them as they are NOT snap caps.
