Most fiber optic sights are cheaply made, but not the Marbles sight. It is steel and easy to install. The orange color really is bright. I put this on my muzzleloader and what a huge difference. Some other brands are plastic which do last long under hunting conditions and the Marbles sight was the best choice for me!
Not really what was expected. 25/02/2011
I purchased this item to be mounted on a Mossberg 590A1 and while the install went fairly easily (get yourself a sight pusher too) it turned out to not be what I was looking for. It does not provide the aiming transition that I was looking for. Just wasn't bright enough for what I needed it to do. I am in the process of upgrading the OEM sights and so opted to use a Meprolight Tritium front sight and a Heavy duty rear sight when Brownells gets them back in stock. May work well on a turkey gun or something of that nature but for a designated home defense weapon there are other better choices.
