Needed a new rod for custom barrel. Tried this one after a few recommendations. Very stiff with tough coating. The handle is second to none. Stands up to use and chemicals.
Bore Tech rod for my 6.5mm 18/10/2013
Bought this rod as it's one of the few built specifically for the 6mm-.270 bore diameters. Most of the others simply sell their .22 rods for the bore sizes under thirty caliber. I wanted a stiff rod that wouldn't flex like a smaller rod often will.
VERY happy with the Bore-Tech rod, especially like the ball bearing grip and the coating that so far has held up very well.
And....If you are looking for something to protect your BT rod on trips to the range or whatever. !/2" PEX tubing cut from the aluminum ferrule forward of the grip, to the end of the rod,is a cheap and strong case. Shove the ferrule into the ID of the tubing, it fit's with enough of a push to hold the rod. Then super glue a fired .45 acp case into the bottom of the case to keep out dirt.
