Fits well. Works for my purposes 25/10/2015
I bought this forend as a temporary fix while searching for the Remington forend I was missing. I like the forend so much; I dispensed with my search. It fit nicely and you can get a solid grip on it. It also came with a tool to remove the nut holding the forend in place. I thought that was a real plus. All in all. Very satisfied.
Caution 10/08/2015
The M-Lok feature of this forend, as it arrived in the box, was worse than worthless (potentially dangerous?). The Magpul M-Lok offset light mount includes M-Lok attachment screws of 2 sizes: short and long. I was told by Magpul customer service that this was to encourage universal use of the M-Lok system. The short screws were too short for the T-nuts to capture the polymer wall of their M-Lok forend. The longer screws extended far enough below the forend that they collided with the hardware below. This could lead to to a frozen action at a most inoppotune time. Magpul customer service advised me to find a grinder and shorten the longer screws. I found this to be an unsafe and inappropriate response. The accessory should include the necessary hardware needed for safe and durable attachment. I also explored the Magpul cantilever light mount, but the extended rail was incompatible with the front hand stop of the M-Lok forend. What good is the Magpul M-Lok forend if Magpul does not make safe and viable options for attaching accessories to it? I'd give it zero stars if I could.
