once you adjust the lips on these they work good. They provide good information on the desired dimensions for a wide range of calibers. Until I got the dimensions correct you could not load them to capacity since they wouldn't contain the shells, which of course causes feed problems.

perfect function (12/05/2015)

Any cartridge I have tried feeds in just fine and feeds back out again just fine. No alteration of any kind needed to the magazine to get it to work. I have used it with PRVI Partizan 145gr NATO spec, Black Hills 175gr match and handloads that use 175gr Sierra Matchkings with an OALT of 2.793". The fit is close but it is within spec and works fine. Filling to the full 10 rds is not particularly difficult, which is nice. The polymer case protecting the magazine's exterior is a nice bonus.

I bought this kit a couple years ago and it has work perfect from day one. All of the mags I have worked for .308 right out of the package, no adjustments required. My mags have been in and out probably hundreds of times with no signs of wear other than to the finish.

The only down side is the price but being heavy duty stainless steel along with outer shell they should last forever.

Max round OAL is 2.850" so if you require longer these are not for you.

This is absolute garbage (14/11/2014)

I have a H-S precision stock and this product bolts in great. However at the part it is supposed to do well it fails in historic proportions. I would NOT RECOMEND this to anyone. The bullets don't feed well and you will have to shorten your rounds to fit into the magazine if you reload your own bullets.

Again the worst assembly I have ever seen!!!

If you load your rounds to published specs for the .308/7.62 round then these will work fine. If you are doing some sort of wildcat with an out-of-spec round then you should never use any magazine system. I have had no trouble whatsoever using PRVI Partizan 145gr rounds, Black Hills 175gr match rounds and handloaded rounds with Sierra Matchkings that essentially duplicate the Black Hills round. My OALT is 2.793". Fit is no problem whatsoever. These mags are very sturdy. They feed with perfect reliability, the mags drop freely via an ingenious low power internal spring within the bottom metal and their bottoms are encased in a polymer 'foot' that you are going to need a big hammer to damage... in normal use they should last forever. these mags pop right into the H-S assembly and feed from the get-go without any need for fine tuning.
