Installing M-Lok devices in this stock are a challenge due to the blind/trapped cavities in which they are placed. If the T-nuts aren’t seated perfectly before tightening, they will spin and chew away at the cavity lip.

I bought this stock for my Remington SPS Sport Tactical in.308 and also added the bottom metal to use 5 round mags because I didn't like the Hogue stock that came with my rifle. Installation was a very easy and needed no extra screws or parts. I took it to the range a week later and found that this stock out performed the old stock 💯 %! I love it! If you're looking to upgrade your Remington 700 I would highly recommend buying this product. You can spend more money on others but you won't find anything better than this one!!! The only accessory that I added was the extra stud for my bipod and that also works great.

A good looking low cost replacement stock for heavy barrel Remington 700s. I first tried it with my Remington VTR and that was a mistake. The fat round target/varmint barrels fit and look real nice in this stock. I ended up using a new 700 Varmint ADL. The only issue or problem I found was the original action screws are short for this stock especially the front one. I ordered a new Remington factory rear action screw from Brownell's part # 767-000-051. The rear screw is the same thread pitch as the front one and is longer. I cut and filed it to fit which gave more thread contact and a more secure hold in the front near the recoil lug. Also If you plan to use an aftermarket trigger with this MAGPUL stock do yourself a favor and buy the one made by TriggerTech (Brownell's part # 100-018-029).

First, let me say this is a very nice stock for a varmint or medium/heavy barrel Remington 700 SA. I purchased this stock in FDE to install on a .243 BDL with the standard contour sporter barrel. It was part of a kit with bottom metal and 10 round magazines. The action fit the stock but the action screws were too short. No problem. Ordered the longer action screws. The installed action left the sportier barrel with a very large gap between the barrel and fore end. I returned the unit. It would work fine on a heavy barrel SPS or the fluted barrel version. Just doesn't look right with the sporter barrel contour

This is a great upgrade to original Rem stock. Love the adjustable LOP and adjustable cheek riser. Very solid stock and do like the forend girth over the slim profile of the original. Great job Magpul!

I received my stock along with new hardware and mag conversion as part of my order that I placed and installation was a ten minute or less operation. No fitting required and overall, I am please. The mag conversion kit fit with no issues and feeding rounds is smooth and consistent, which is an improvement over the previous kit that I had. Though I wanted the OD Green stock, I am please with the black and will order the OD Green one for a future build once it is available.

Inexpensive alternative that works great! Easy to install and set up right out of the box. The ability to add the bottom metal to take magazines is outstanding. Also the M-Lock accessories that can be used with it are great. I put it on and went straight out in the woods of deepest darkest Fort Bragg with it, held up great.



The only draw back they could have put some rubber in the grip areas.

Overall great stock but needed a little improvement. I purchased the stock, along with the magazine well and extra magazines, plus various M-Loc fittings for bipod mounting and quick detach sling swivels. My Remington 700 AAC-SD in .308 Winchester fit into it perfectly. The standard cheek piece seems perfect for using my Vortex 6-24X50 scope mounted with medium high rings.



The HARD rubber butt pad was very painful to use on the bench rest. Even at over 11 pounds total weight, the gun has more felt recoil than I expected. That, coupled with the very narrow footprint of the existing but plate, made an extended range session very painful. There is a solution. Brownells sells the adaptor to replace the adjustable butt plate with one designed to fit the Magpul stock for the Remington 870. This adapter accepts a standard ready fit recoil pad designed the fit the synthetic Remington factory stocks for the 870 and the 700. This adapter, Brownells 100-009-579, will fit the Hunter 700 stock. I installed the Limbsaver recoil pad which is very soft and has a much larger footprint to spread the recoil to the shoulder. Shooting the rifle is now much more pleasant. Other than the recoil pad, there is nothing about this stock that I do now like.

Great stock!!! I was worried about the “true drop-in solution” but it really was. I had no problems at all. I also got the magazine well and magazine. It was a truly a “drop-in solution”. Changed out the cheek piece and added an insert for my bipod.

Love this stock! I installed it on a Remington 700 SPS tactical .308 (same rifle shown in the stock photo for the black stock). It doesn't specify in the description but the barrel is free-floated with this stock in addition to the aluminum action bedding block that's built in. It used the factory action screws for installation and feels rock solid. The stock feels great, looks great, and took all of 5 minutes to install. I'll be really excited once they finally ship the back-ordered bottom metal that accepts the AICS mags.

Got this product recently, install was a breeze. Saw this at the magpul booth at SHOTSHOW 2015 and fell in love. Good alternative to expensive magazine accepting chasis. Ill be receiving my magazine well part this thursday. This beats the garbage houge stock my Rem 700 came with. 0 feed problems so far.
