The SGA is an adaptable stock for the Mossberg 500/590/590A1 12 gauge shotguns, designed with a wide range of customizable features and accessories to meet individual end-user needs. The M-LOK Forend is a simple, lightweight forend for 500/590/590A1 12 gauge shotguns with 7-5/8" action tube assemblies, designed to provide much-needed adaptability with the attachment of optional M-LOK accessories and mounts. NOTE: The Mossberg forend in the sets will NOT fit the Mossberg 500 with 6-1/2" action tube assembly or the Maverick or current production Mossberg 500 synthetic with pinned-in action tube assembly without replacing with the 7-5/8" action tube assembly.

The SGA Buttstock is an adaptable stock designed specifically for the Mossberg 500/590/590A1 12 gauge shotguns. It offers a wide range of customizable features and accessories to cater to the unique needs of individual users.
Complementing the buttstock is the M-LOK Forend, a lightweight and straightforward forend suitable for the same shotgun models with 7-5/8" action tube assemblies. This forend enhances the adaptability of your shotgun by allowing the attachment of optional M-LOK accessories and mounts.
Note: The Mossberg forend included in this set is not compatible with the Mossberg 500 featuring a 6-1/2" action tube assembly, nor with the Maverick or the current production Mossberg 500 synthetic models that have a pinned-in action tube assembly without upgrading to the 7-5/8" action tube assembly.

I made it work with my 500... 12/08/2017
Ordered this set for my 3 year old Mossy 500 (gold trigger). I had read the reviews saying that some fitting was required, along with the need for a 7 3/4" action slide tube (for the M-LOK Forend) , but wanted to try... I did need the longer tube (mine was the 6 3/4" originally). to correct that issue, I ordered the Houge 7 3/4" tube with tube nut ($10 to $15 less than the one from Mossberg), and it worked like a charm (using the original slide tube nut).
The SGA Buttstock was an easier install, but be warned that the stock makes removal of the trigger group impossible without trimming the stock or loosening the mounting bolt.
The write up says this kit is for the 500, but the forend box indicates it is for the 590/590A1, while the box for the stock includes the 500 as a model that it will fit.
All in all, I love the finished product! Adjustable LOP, and feels better in hand. If you are willing to putz around a bit, you will have a very cool, and better handling gun. I believe the synthetic stock will hold up better when using the gun out in nasty weather!

Needed a shorter length of pull for a female user. This stock worked perfectly at its shortest setting (and could still be lengthened up to 2 more inches later for a larger shooter).
The ergonomics are improved and the new forend adds more grip for operating the slide.
Installation is very fast and easy as long as you know how to remove the original buttstock and forend.
