841370114177 EGW's Mosin Nagant mount allows you to remove the rear leaf sight and install the base without the need to unsolder anything. It is one of the most stable bases on the market and uses the rear sight housing so there are no major modifications to your rifle like with some other brands. Installation: Remove rear leaf sight from the housing Keep the original pin as you will need this to install the base Insert the tabbed side of our steel base in to the rear of the rear sight Check for fitment on the front of the steel base The corners and front may need to be filed down to achieve the optimal fit Once the base sits completely in the rear housing insert the retaining pin from the original sight Adjust the set screw to take up any play in the rail Screw the top aluminum mount to the steel base This mount can be put on in either direction EGW recommends measuring the hole spacing in your receiver to confirm it matches with the dimensions they have published. Picatinny cross slots run the full length of the rail, which gives the shooter flexibility when mounting scope rings and other accessories. The channel in the center reduces the overall mass of the mount. Also, in many cases, it will not obstruct usage of factory iron sights. EGW one-piece scope mounts are the obvious choice for hunters and tactical shooters alike. EGW machines these in thier shop using one of their machining centers. After machining, the mounts are tumbled, sand blasted, and Type III anodized for long lasting durability. Installation: EGW recommends 20 inch lbs of torque and a drip of blue loctite (loctite is sold separately).

Installation Instructions:

  1. Remove the rear leaf sight from the housing.
  2. Keep the original pin for base installation.
  3. Insert the tabbed side of the steel base into the rear sight housing.
  4. Check fitment at the front of the steel base; corners may need to be filed down.
  5. Once the base is seated, insert the retaining pin from the original sight.
  6. Adjust the set screw to eliminate any play in the rail.
  7. Screw the top aluminum mount to the steel base; it can be installed in either direction.

EGW recommends measuring the hole spacing in your receiver to ensure compatibility with published dimensions. For optimal performance, a torque of 20 inch lbs and a drop of blue Loctite (sold separately) is recommended.

With Picatinny cross slots running the full length of the rail, you have the flexibility to mount scope rings and accessories as needed. The central channel reduces the overall mass of the mount, making it an ideal choice for both hunters and tactical shooters.
