Performance and Testing
Internal testing by SI has shown an average reduction in felt recoil ranging from 8-15%, depending on the application. The included O-ring (with spares) aids in timing and retaining the SMTC CIRCLE compensator. Originally crafted for smaller compact, sub-compact, and micro-sized pistols, the SI styling of the CIRCLE ensures compatibility with most existing holsters.
Versatile Use
On full-size or any size pistols, it can also function as a thread protector while providing enhanced muzzle control. Made from AISI 1144 steel and finished with a Quench Polish Quench (QPQ) process, the Strike Micro Threaded Comp - CIRCLE is both small and lightweight, measuring only 16.3mm (0.64”) in total length.
Important Warnings
- WARNING: Due to the reduction of slide energy, recoil spring tuning may be necessary when using this compensator.
- WARNING: For threaded barrels without a shoulder, the included O-ring will not function properly for timing. Use Loctite® Threadlocker Red to secure the compensator to the threaded barrel, applying an appropriate amount.
- Regularly check the compensator as part of your maintenance routine.
- All installations must be performed by a certified professional gunsmith and properly tested to ensure safety and functionality.
