Definitely recommended

good replacement for original spring 17/06/2014

My Mauser 29/98("Persian", made by CZ) did not fire 1940 Turk surplus 8mm ammo on the first strike about 1/5 of the time. In a bandolier of 70 rounds, about 10-15 required two tries to get them to fire. I replaced what was likely the original spring installed in the early 30's when the rifle was made with the Speedlock spring. Took the old girl out last Sunday. Every shot out of 75 rds. fired the first time, with no hangfires or other issues. I am very happy with the Speedlock spring. It cured the frequent misfires I was experiencing.

Not recommended

Speedlock firing pin spring Turkish Maus 17/12/2011

Did nothing to improve failure to fire on first try. Actually had more failures to fire on first pull of the trigger than with the original equipment military spring. Reviews at the time of purchase said otherwise and that's why I purchased this spring.
