I had read previous bad reviews for this however I hoped that the quality had been resolved.

Wrong size thread for Marlin 336 15/11/2015
Wrong size thread
This screw may not fit your 336. It didn't fit mine when it arrived at my place two days ago. It is the wrong size thread, and is an issue that these screws from Brownells have had for more than a few years now. If you force the screw you can damage the threads in your rifle. Search the product name online and you'll see it's a recognised problem, and better screws can be had elsewhere.
