REMINGTON MAGAZINE CAP FOR REMINGTON 870 XCS A magazine cap for the Remington 870 XCS in PVD black is an accessory designed to replace the factory magazine cap and provide a durable interface between the magazine tube and the shotgun’s barrel nut and stock. On tactical or competition-style 870 shotguns, a low-profile magazine cap helps protect the magazine spring and follower from snagging, while offering a sleek, corrosion-resistant surface in a dark PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) finish that complements black components. The cap threads onto the magazine tube to help retain the spring and follower under recoil and during field handling. Because magazine caps sit at the forward end of the magazine tube, a well-designed cap balances strength with minimal bulk.
