Oversize Pad For Fast Magazine Changes

Extra large, easy-to-reach magazine release lever replaces the original factory part for fast, positive mag changes during combat or competition. Oversize pad with vertical, serrated surface provides perfect alignment with your finger for a positive, no-slip release in all weather conditions. Machined from case hardened steel for added durability, then Parkerized for superior wear resistance and corrosion protection.

SPECS: Steel, Parkerized finish. Hardened to Rc 55. 1-13⁄16" (2.6cm) OAL. Pad - 13⁄16" (4.6cm) long x 13⁄16" (4.6cm) wide. .7 oz. (19.8g) weight. Minor fitting required, includes mounting pins.

This part is a must for anyone who comes to my shop and wants to upgrade thier m1a's in any way, ebr,tactical config, etc,. The quality is excellent, fit and finish are perfect. The product makes mag changes much faster and gives the operator of the weapon a positive feel on mag changes.

For USGI spec rifles.Will not fit metric (11/07/2012)

This part is really a 5 star quality part but I gave it 3 so people would check the review and not get the wrong part. Sadlak makes two versions of this latch. One for standard rifles (USGI) spec and one for metric Chinese made rifles. This is the standard version. metric rifles need a larger pin size. This thing is so hard (55 Rc) that it is not practical trying to enlarge the hole with standard drill bits/drills. Look elsewhere if you are working on a metric M14 clone. By the way, this thing came with one of the best installation guides I have ever seen with an aftermarket part.

A must have for anyone wiht M1A/M14 rifle. Fairly easy to install (except for the heavy duty spring) and makes mag change a snap. Cost is somewhat high for such a small metal piece but worth it.

I just finished installing this on my rifle along with the Smith Enterprise Bolt Stop. This piece was fairly easy to install and works great. A big improvement over the factory part.

Mag changes made easy (20/03/2015)

Easy to install, directions were crystal clear. Width of the plate is about a hair smaller than the actual magazine, so no catching on your clothing. The only downside is that more force is required to seat a magazine if it's loaded than the stock part, but practice will compensate for that.

Well worth it (24/03/2015)

Sadlak makes very good products for the M14 and this is yet another example of exactly that. Installation is very easy and clear to follow with the instructions provided; they even supply a taper punch to use. The only tools you will need is a piece of wood to work on and a brass hammer. Installation will take about 5-10 minutes, very easy and fast.

Magazine manipulation is drastically different from the stock part. Insertion and extraction is much easier especially if using gloves.
