Full length, low profile rail uses 1913 Picatinny pattern; provides excellent stability and allows wide field of view for fast target acquisition. Dual, high-strength, steel clamps secure mount to barrel, forward of the gas block. No need to remove standard issue iron sights and will not interfere with case ejection. Synthetic and Israel Arms International stocks may require minor inletting in the forend to accommodate clamps. Mounted a Burris Fast Fire II on my M1 Carbine with this mount and I absolutely love it! Just the addition of the handguard tightened my group size with the open sights, I'm assuming due to an improved barrel vibration situation. This mount would be great with pistol or scout scope, red dot sight or laser. I'm looking at a Sightmark green laser as it's the only one with an offset mount that I can find. Could possibly use the open sights with this laser but i'm not sure. I know it can be used with the Burris. Love this mount.Shot a one inch group at 100 yards.
