841370101412 Machined from a solid piece of barstock, the JEM 1911 Beavertail Grip Safety ships with slightly oversized dimensions in critical areas, enabling homebuilders and gunsmiths to achieve a perfect, custom fit on their 1911 pistol frame. The JEM 1911 Beavertail Grip Safety features a beavertail that's wider than the frame, allowing the part to be fit into the frame rather than the other way around. The overall length of the grip safety is longer at the bottom, and the angle is such that it allows the safety to adequately fill the gap in the pistol frame. Other features of the JEM 1911 Beavertail Grip Safety include a reamed pin hole that measures .158 inch, as well as a .250-inch radius. The enlarged contact pad on the grip safety ensures positive engagement. One note: this grip safety is designed specifically for high-cut frames and will need blending. The safety will fit all JEM frames, as well as 2011 High-Cap STI pistol framesDelivery time approx. 7-14 days.
