050806006782 Tooling kits include hardened steel toolholders and high speed steel inserts for turning, threading, profiling, and cut-off work. Inserts are T-15 High Speed Steel (HSS) hardened to Rc 65-67, then finish ground on all sides. They deliver excellent slow speed performance, precision interrupted cuts, and a smooth finish on stainless steel, Inconel, Monel, exotic metals, and plastics. Square shank toolholders and boring bars are CNC machined from 4140/4142 steel bar stock, hardened to Rc 48-50, and then black oxide coated to resist corrosion. Includes two ³/8" square bars, one right hand bar and one left hand bar, plus three high-speed steel inserts and one carbide insert that fit either bar.

Both bars feature a .375" square shank and measure 6" OAL. The inserts include three HSS VCMW-221 inserts and one carbide VCMW-221 insert, all with a 7° positive angle, .250 IC, .125 thick, .110 hole, .146 top opening, and .015 radius.

Excellent American Made Quality Tooling 29/09/2017
This stuff is top quality. Love the HSS steel inserts. Can be easily touched up and sharpened. Great for slow speed gunsmith and hobbyist work. Great finish quality in the 100-300 rpm range on my lathe. Excellent tooling. This is not cheap low quality junk, comes in a nice case and you can get replacement inserts when/if you ever need them.
