Versatile and strong (06/04/2015)
Great punches. You do have to take care if a pin is sticking up as with any flat nose punch. I cut the long pins to various lengths In approximately 3/8ths increments to drive stubborn pins out and to prevent bending the drift pins. Been using them for 30 plus years and just ordered all new pins........DBW
Great for Micro Pins(08/11/2012)
Superb quality! Just what I needed for a Micro Pin on a Browning Buckmark rear sight.
Wonderful idea ---- but!(08/06/2012)
Wonderful concept but the execution is worse than poor. Every time you try to use any of the punches, the punch retainer comes loose. Just one or two taps with a small hammer and the tip is loose and wobbeling all over the place. Could have been made a lot better easily.
Work great(18/09/2015)
The problem with all punches in these sizes are they are fragile, but with this, you just replace the tips instead of the whole punch. I generally found them a little long but you can make them shorter. A little thread tape on the head will keep them from loosening. I really like they have a square shoulder so you don't damage the hole like with tapered punches if you over drive. Wish they made brass replacements (so 4 stars), but I bought some hard brass rod of the same diameters, cut to length, crimp one end and made my own. Now I always have a straight small diameter punch in a choice of sized in steel or brass. Fantastic
Good, but needs attention(18/05/2011)
The largest of the three would not assemble until I ran an appropriate size drill thru the retainer first. The hole in the retainer was actually a couple thousands smaller than the pin.
Good idea--Poor execution(21/07/2011)
The medium size punch broke the first time I hit it.
Used to be better, now cheapened up(03/03/2013)
I bought some of these to replace a couple from my old set that went walking. The nuts are now made shorter, to economize no doubt, but they don't seem to hold the punch tips so well as the old ones. Progress I guess but I'll keep better care of my old ones now.
