Enhance your Glock G43X/G48 with precision backup iron sights!
The BIS, G43X/48 (Backup Iron Sight, G43X/G48) is a remarkable collaboration between Ameriglo and Forward Controls Design, specifically tailored for the Glock G43X and G48 models. These sights are designed to provide an exceptional shooting experience with a front sight height of 0.450" and a rear sight height of 0.554". The sight sets offer a lower 1/3 co-witness with the Trijicon RMRcc when paired with the OPF-G43X/43, making them an ideal choice for both on-duty and off-duty use.
Key Features:
- Front Sight: Available in two options - green Tritium with a white outline (no serrations) or a serrated front sight without Tritium or white outline.
- Rear Sight: Serrated for improved visibility.
- Design Differences: The BIS, G43X/48 features a steeper front sight back strap angle (25 degrees for serrated non-tritium, 20 degrees for non-serrated tritium) to reduce snagging during draw, with softened top corners.
- Manufacturing: Proudly designed and made in the USA.
Forward Controls Design appreciates the collaboration with Ameriglo, which has made this project possible. The G43X/49 with RMRcc is widely approved by various agencies, which often mandate that red dot pistols be equipped with metallic, co-witnessing backup sights.
Installation Note: If you lack a sight pusher or the necessary equipment to install rear sights, it is recommended to consult a qualified and competent gunsmith for installation. It is common for rear sights to require fitting to the dovetail, and an experienced gunsmith will understand the process. Forward Controls Design has encountered numerous issues with improperly installed muzzle devices, emphasizing the importance of professional installation.
For optimal performance, Forward Controls Design prefers sights to be tightly fitted to avoid being knocked off zero easily. The tolerances of the dovetail and sights can vary, making some installations easier than others, but a qualified gunsmith can handle these variations with ease.
