Good in theory.. not in execution (14/03/2011)

While it looks good in theory, and should work, this tool is not very good. I purchased it a few months ago and finally got around to using it to remove the extractor from a brand new bolt. The tip of the tool, where the pin that compresses the extractor plunger, snapped off on the first use. If you can find one, the surplus extractor tools are much better.

A must have tool (18/09/2011)

I did have one of these tools fail almost exactly as described in the earlier review. However the replacement tool has worked perfectly for years on many customer builds. While it's possible to remove the extractor with a punch or other pointed tool this item saves on frustration and keeps the injury potential down.

Very Good Tool (08/09/2012)

Works like it should and no complants. Its not made to go into battle but will last me several lifetimes and make the breakdown of the bolt easier and quick.

Doesn.t work with Hesse FAL (26/12/2011)

There are many versions of a FN FAl or FNH mine is a Hesse and the tool doesn't work. Contact Brownell technical before you buy they are helpful
