Mounts To A Hand Drill For Easy Cleaning

One-piece, brass cleaning rod has a 1⁄4" hex that lets you drive it with your hand drill to power scrub the toughest lead and plastic fouling without damage to the bore. 5⁄16"-27 female thread accepts standard shotgun accessories. We like to wrap some stainless steel sponge, #080-000-321 around a nylon bore brush; a couple of passes and the bore is clean! Not for use with .410 bore barrels.

SPECS: Brass. 38" (97cm) long, 5⁄16"-27 female thread. Will not fit .410 bore barrels.

Drill Checkable Shotgun Cleaning Rod (15/11/2015)

Product is what I was looking for. Only disappointment is that I ordered 12 gauge rod guide #080-000-973WB to use with this product. Bore guide does not accept the rod, hole is too small. Would be nice if bore guides would accept the rod.

Great idea would have given 5+ except mine arrived slightly bent making it very hard to use. I purchased one after seeing one in use by a friend hands down best way to clean a shotgun.

Nice but cumbersome to use (06/05/2018)

Purchased to clean my shotguns of the built up plastic in the bores using Eds Red.

My rod arrived with a slight bow in it but in a very heavy cardboard tube which was not damaged. I can only sumize that the rod had a slight bend in it from the factory and is almost impossible to get straight.

I use two hands to use it with one holding it from beating the chambers up when I spin it.

Unfortunately I did not open upon arrival and took several months to do so thus too late to return.

This is a tools that you need if you shoot alot of modern shot shells with the plastic wads and shot cups as that plastic will build up in the bores and must be scrubbed out with a rod and brush such as this one.
