You get lots of versatility with the competition set. Micrometers are very accurate and bullet run out is virtually non existent.

Have a set for my 6mm for 20 years and put 1000 of rounds though them with no problem I know this set will be the same whith my 22-250 ackly improved rife.

Graduation Marks Difficult to Read 24/02/2011

Currently all my dies are Redding Competition Die Sets, and I will attest to their high quality performance all day long. But I have a small problem with my 6mm BR Norma Seating Die. It concerns both the vertical and horizontal graduation (hash) markings on the die body and knob. On all my other dies, when the knob is turned to 0, the next hash mark on the vertical vernier just becomes visible at the bottom of the knurled knob. But with this 6mm BR Die, when the knob is set to 0, the bottom of the knurled knob is exactly half way between two hash marks on the vertical vernier. I have posted pictures of the problem here[@][...] I use them extensively in spreadsheets for the different 6mm bullets I use each at different seating depths. But the numbers SHOULD BE EASY TO READ. When the knob is set around the 25 mark things get confusing, and it's sometimes easy for me to be off by 50 thousanths. I think it's a problem, but it seems that since they have no way to fix it, it's just not a problem to Redding.
