Brownells USA Nice budget mag for Series 2 Woodsman 03/03/2018

I have 4 of these Triple K (late) Woodsman mags for my Woodsman Series 2 with the mag release aft of the trigger guard.

The mag I bought new from Brownells worked great out of the package. Three others I bought used all work, but two of them needed some minor sanding and buffing of feed lips so the slide would not catch going forward. After sanding rough steel edges and rounding the rear of the feed lips with 2000 grit sandpaper, they work fine. Good alternative to the 3 figure cost of a used genuine colt magazine.

Would give 5 stars except they don't come apart for cleaning (a long cotton swab does work), and because of the 2 that needed minor work to be reliable.

Brownells USA Triple K 394M Colt,10 round Mag 20/12/2017

Somewhat confusing about which mag to pick, early vs late, and comments from others. My Woodsman is a 1960 Sport Model w/4"barrel. Original mag has a 'notch' and held in with a flip fastener at the base of the mag on the stock. This Triple K 394 "Late Colt" 22 Long Rifle works perfectly. It looks like the original mag, I haven't shot it yet so I don't know how it feeds but I'll bet that it is OK. If not, I'll adjust it, I was just glad to find a 2nd magazine.
