Good starting place (27/07/2010)

Take the "Unconditionally Guaranteed to Fit and Feed" with a grain of salt. But if you own one of these particular guns you well know how fussy they are. The Triple K magazine is fairly well made and a decent starting place, but you will have to modify and tune it to make it work reliably.

Despite mediocre internet reviews, the magazine works great in my Colt Mid Range 38 spl wad cutter. 100% function. I will be purchasing more. Great to have a reliable magazine source.

Change your 45ACP into a 38 special (25/01/2018)

This magazine is magnificent!

All I did was buy a 38 special 1911 barrel and a separate slide for it to put on my RIA 1911. It would not load the 38 special wadcutter bullets I made for it. I tried monkeying with an existing magazine but couldn't get it to fly.

Bought this gem, loaded it, slammed it into the RIA and all 5 shots purred right through my gun. I've never had a fail to chamber.

Once I saw how well this works I started buying a few with every paycheck (or two) until they ran out. But don't worry. Brownells is, as far as I can tell, the single source for these and they have a batch made fairly regularly. My advice is to put 2 or 3 on backorder so that they'll pre-allocate yours from the next batch.
