High Capacity With Anti-Friction Coating; The Mags That Really Work

You’ll gain reliable, additional round capacity with these high quality replacement magazines that really fit and function like proven factory magazines. Tempered steel body with hardened feed lips is treated with a phosphated anti-friction coating inside and out to ensure drop-free operation and no-jam feeding. Hardened, high tensile music wire spring and supported, self-lubricated nylon follower eliminates follower tilt so every round feeds flawlessly. Flush-fitting, 18-Round magazine features a tough synthetic base pad that removes easily for magazine cleaning. 20-Round model includes a removable, synthetic “Plus 2” base pad. Witness holes in the rear side on both models provide fast, remaining round count.

Better Than 96A1 Factory Mags (28/12/2014)

Last round loads easier than the factory 12 round mags and this one doesn't bulge out either. Smooth to lock in and drop when full, unlike factory, better finish too.

Mec-Gar fulfills magazine contracts for many of the world's pistol manufacturers. I own three of these for my Beretta, and they are indistinguishable from the original factory-supplied mags both visually and functionally. I've used these magazines exclusively for the last year in some very hostile environments and they perform everytime, without issue. The extra five rounds also add some good heft to the M9.

Another quality magazine from Mec-Gar. I like the extended base pad, as it gives more leverage for my weak hand when gripping the pistol.

The base pad removes easily for cleaning - and make sure you do this before using the first time. These are made in Italy - and probably ship all over the world to a variety of environmental conditions. So Mec-Gar gives them a good film of preservative inside and out to protect against rust. That's good - but it's also a dirt magnet if not removed before use.

I perchased this for my main carry gun. The only problem I had was that the 18th round was VERY dificult to get in the first few times. After that this mag has functioned flawlessly every time with several hundred rounds through. None of the other reviewers problems happened. As for a good combat mag...I would not know, but for the range or carry...yes.

I have bought several of these mags. and am well pleased. When cleaning I use a dry lub. which works better without attracting dirt or dust.

Don't use in combat! (20/08/2010)

I bought 5 of these before my last combat tour in Afghanistan with the hope that I would finally have a good reliable magazine for my M9. Within 1 week of being in country they failed to feed. One of the problems is that they need cleaned literaly EVERY day due to the 18 round indicators in the rear allow alot of sand to get into it. Spring tension was HORRIBLE as well. I could only keep 5-6 rounds in the mag before you could hold it upside down and just shake rounds out of it. I would actually strip them down, clean them, and keep them in a plastic bag everytime I came back inside the wire. Only would recommend them for target shooting.

Not Happy At all (17/03/2013)

I a while back and yet to get 18 rounds in it and I shot over 500 round with 17 only. Not yet been able to get 18 rounds in it. I am not happy I was charged for a 18 round when in truth it only hold 17 rounds in it. Now as far as the 17 rounds it has worked flawless. Just not happy I paid for a 18 round magazine that is it so it was a bit cheaper I would not be as unhappy. And the one that said they were getting 18 rounds in it I do not see how. I have tried and tried and all most split my thumb open trying to get 18 rounds in it.

It is a good product, I have of this same brand older ones and they are excellent.

The placement of # 18 is complicated. I think the design should be for 17 cartridges.
