Great spring, Lighter than 14 lbs 16/12/2014
This is an excellent chrome silicon replacement recoil spring for the factory weight 13 lb recoil spring. I have 1,200 rounds on mine running it in a 92G Elite II and it still feels like new. ISMI makes high quality springs and you can't go wrong with them.
One thing to note about this 14 lb rated spring is that it is most definitely lighter than 14 lbs. Tested subjectively next to the factory 13 lb spring it feels lighter. I just received a pair of brand new Wolff 12 lb and 11 lb recoil springs and guess what? The 14 lb ISMI spring feels lighter than the 12 lb spring by a good bit. It feels more like the 11 pound spring only it is a tad lighter yet!
This is not a bad thing as lighter recoil springs can help to reduce muzzle flip. I've tested this 14 lb ISMI spring with a variety of factory and aftermarket magazines with both extremely stiff and worn out springs. I have NEVER had a malfunction using the 14 lb ISMI spring. Super smooth action when racking the slide.
