Unreliable (30/01/2014)

I purchased three magazines last year to replace my original Beretta units that have exhausted springs (spring replacement kits being unavailable.)

I short, these magazines just don't work. Rounds either jam or just don't feed. Occasionally the slide will cycle fully onto an empty chamber. I tested the old magazines (which still feed the first 5-6 rounds reliably) and they perform well. The ProMag units reduce my semi-automatic pistol to single-shot operation.

I had the same feed problem with my 10 round mags they should be good for fishing weights.

OK but you can do better (07/02/2015)

I bought two of these mags when I got my 92FS. I did not have any issues with them initially and I do still use them. I had some issues at the range yesterday with mis-feeds, so I decided to clean them and check everything out. I also have two factory Beretta mags and one ex-USA mag. Each of the pro-mag units had a different spring in them! One spring was a lot better made than the other. Neither spring matched the factory or military mag. I am planning on still shooting with them, but my favorite mag is the mil surplus. They are heavier and appear to be of all metal components.

I though it would be ok for target practice but right out of the box I noticed it was difficult to load. Disassembled and found the spring was completely mangled. It works fine now with a quality spring.

Don't Waste Your Money on these Losers (16/07/2016)

If you actually manage to get 10 rounds into this magazine, it will not seat and lock into the weapon unless the slide is open. The only way you can proceed is to carry 9 +1. So much for a "10 round" magazine. Upon pushing the mag release, you still have to manually pull the magazine out since gravity alone won't drop it. I bought 3 of these, and they're all no good. Even loading rounds into the magazine did not go smoothly. Never made it to the range test since these magazines failed at the bench. These particular ProMags are a complete disaster -- they have no place in any situation where your life is at stake. Utter unsafe JUNK.

Iâm only giving three stars because 2 out of the three seem to load 10 and drop free okay. The third wonât even go into the gun itâs manufactured too wide and will be going back for an exchange. Also there arenât any holes to show how many rounds are in the mag. Probably gonna cost me more in postage than itâs worth.
