Dual, curved restrictor plates with a tremendous amount of surface area stop exiting barrel gases and pull the barrel forward to counteract recoil and muzzle flip. The front sight or scope stays right on target for a faster second shot, plus less felt recoil and shooter fatigue. Models available for rifles chambered in .308/7.62mm. 5/8-24 TPI is the industry standard for AR-10-type rifles and also appropriate for custom applications. The 0.750" outside diameter will accommodate the heavy bull barrels common among long-range varmint rifles including, but not limited to, the M15 and AR10-type rifles. The JPRE-324MG has a final exit hole of .350 and can be enlarged to accommodate bores up to .416.

This is the real deal !!! (01/05/2010)

One of the best accessories I have bought for my DPMS AR10. This brake tames the recoil of a .308 down to a .223, about 1/4 of what it was without it. I can send 10 rounds downrange in about 15 seconds accurately now where before was impossible due to recoil. Add a rubber buttstock pad and you are set. It really makes shooting the gun much more enjoyable and should improve accuracy. It does make the gun a little louder but oh well.

This brake does just what it's name implies! I have both the .223 and recently picked up the .308 version. The .223 version will literally make your AR-15 shoot like it has a .22lr conversion kit installed in it. The .308 version makes my 20" AR-10 shot like AR-15 with very mild loads. Absolutely no muzzle flip and actually feels like it pulls the rifle away from your shoulder. Works so well some competition rules for 3-gun have made 1" diameter rules just because of this brake.
