Definitely recommended

Brownells USA Great quality, solid as a rock. 24/03/2018

I just completed a build using this handguard, and I'm thrilled. When people see this handguard, they'll know you didn't go the cheap route. This handguard installs easily and does not rattle or wobble. It is lightweight, and the anodizing is perfect and matches the anodizing on the rest of my carbine. I'm going to use this handguard for future builds.

Brownells USA Best in the price range 26/04/2012

I have built carbine AR's with the Yankee Hill drop in rails, the Double Star model, the KAC M4 RAS's and these MI GenII rails, and for the money, these are the best rails with the most features. I've never seen a flaw or quality control issue either - first rate manufacture.
They are very light and lock up very sturdy, have cuts for KAC rail pannels and the front/rear QD sling attachment points are excellent features. They are also the only ones (other than much more expensive Daniel Defense rails) that have the bridge to the upper receiver for a continuous rail.
I've started adding two small dabs of HT silicone where the rails mesh with the barrel nut teeth and letting it harden before assembly to get a "compression" fit - this removes *all* movement of the rails when assembled, even with a verticle grip (not much movement to begin with...)
Unless someone insists on KAC rails ("to be just like my old M4" or has duty restrictions on type of approved equiptment) I use these on all my railed M4 builds. My personal weapons see pretty hard use and these hold up just fine with no major losening or wear.
