Product Description

Crafted from machined aluminum, this riser clamps securely to the flattop AR-15 receiver, positioning your primary optic sights at eye level. By raising the mounting height by .750", it eliminates the need for extra-high rings in most applications.

MIL-STD 1913 Picatinny Cut: Accepts both Picatinny and Weaver-style rings.
Easy-to-Grip Design: Features two slotted hex nuts that can be tightened using a U.S. quarter for added leverage.
Secure Locking Mechanism: The full-length clamping bar ensures the riser stays securely attached to the flattop receiver, preventing any movement even during demanding tactical operations.
Precision Engineering: CNC machined for an exceptionally secure lock on the receiver rail.
Streamlined Appearance: Smooth, curved front and rear contours on the underside reduce weight and minimize the chance of snagging on gear.

Definitely recommended

The best that I have found 20/10/2013

I have used several of these and just ordered another. Brownell's risers are the best that I have found, they are the perfect height for me and the quality has always been perfect. They are straight and true and mount easily. I especially like the two piece mounting system, I have tried some with a one piece mount that are supposed to slide on the flattop picatinny rail, and they usually won't fit.
I will continue to buy Brownell's mount when I need another.

Easy to install. Just the right height for a 40mm objective lens on my flat top Rock River upper. In my opinion much more esthetic than high rings mounted on the rail.

AWESOME!!! 27/07/2010

I wasn't sure what to expect since this item isn't from a "name brand". I was shocked and am not sending this back! I ordered two other risers (Yankee Hill and some other one) with plans to keep the best... I'm keeping this one. It perfectly co-witnesses my Bushnell Trophy TRS-25 red dot with my standard A2 post. The quick release screws on the side allow me to take this on/off without having to take off anything else. The YHM riser I ordered requires me to take off my rear sight to get it on/off. I like the option to use either a flat-head screw driver or a socket wrench to tighten/loosen the screws. The coloration and finish PERFECTLY matches my Stag AR and would expect it to match other makes as well. This item is durable and will not fall off. The screws are hardened and aren't likely to strip. Brownells did an EXCELLENT job with this!
