Pins Help Make AR-15 Assembly & Disassembly Easy

Hardened steel pins fit standard AR-15 lowers to make rifle take down easy and fast. These pins are .030" longer than standard, giving purchase when pushing them from the left side of the receiver. Feature textured heads for easy handling and bullet tip guides that help center a bullet or other takedown tool. Tapered cuts make pins easy to push. Titanium is 50% lighter than steel, perfect for a lightweight rifle build or just to add a little contrast to your black rifle.

SPECS: Construction - Precision CNC machined hardened steel or Grade 5 titanium. Finish - Black. Fits small pin .250" AR-15/M16 receivers. Pins are .030" longer than factory pins.

Absolute Genious!! (24/11/2013)

Why has it taken so long for this concept/design to come to fruition? I bought two the day they were released, and installed both of them in just minutes. The first set went into a scratch build, and the second set replaced the pins in a complete rifle.

Both firearms use multiple uppers, and the ability to swap out parts is now considerably easier.

After watching numerous UTUBE videos showing prior installations, I was able to finish with the use of ZERO additional tools other than what came in the package. The idea of using the magnet is sheer genious on BAD Inc's part.

I'm sending Santa a letter right now to start working on a .308 version.

The best ideas are the simplest (10/01/2014)

These are great! The pins are a tad longer than the width of the upper / lower receivers. This allows a simple push on the left side of the pins with your fingers (no tool needed) to push the right side head out where you can grasp it easily and pull. Concave heads make it easy to push back in without looking. Would be a great addition to a rifle without the magnet but it's an added bonus. Makes installation of the spring / detent / pin a breeze. Well worth the added cost.

Brilliantly Simple (29/03/2014)

Battle Arms Devolopment has once again refined what we take for granted with the AR15 platform. Like their line of ambi safeties (see those reviews) the AR15/M16 Enhanced Takedown and Pivot Pins wil find there way on to every AR15 I own. Not only do the pins make assembling and disassembling your weapon easier they look great too. Im a bit physivally impaired and these pins are a godesend. Installation is a breeze and extremely clever. Be sure to watch the videos as mentioned elsewhere. These things go to eleven!

Good design. (08/05/2014)

Very good overall design. The issue I have with the product is the finish and the shape of the detent pins. The detent pins have a head that is fairly flat and wide and with a semi rough finish on the take down and pivot pins, the two cause a rough action and sometimes they will bind. I may be being to picky because it will most likely work out with use and good lubrication. Keep in mind my ArmaLite pins were top notch and I bought the Battle Arms Pins for their shape. They are a good product and well worth the money. I think if I would have used my original detent pins I would have had better results.

Amazing takedown pins. (28/11/2014)

These are a must have item if you have any trouble with the mil-spec takedown pins. They extend about 1mm beyond the standard pins so you can push them without using a punch or bullet. Great product. It also includes the springs and detents.

Simple little thing that means a lot! (28/03/2015)

Okay, this is not a groundbreaking earth shaking product. In fact, if you are not a person that COMPLETELY dis-assembles you AR platform rifle, this is probably not for you. However, if you are the person that does, this is the greatest thing since....toilet paper roll hooks! You know, changing toilet paper on the spring loaded spindle is not hard, but, once you get the toilet paper hook that you just slide off the core and slide on a new roll.....you appreciate the minor improvement. That's what this is. It will not make your gun more accurate. It will not make it more reliable. It will make it more fun and easy to completely break down to nothing. The extended/divoted pins make for easier separation of the upper and lower. The magnet and specially machined front pin makes for a much easier front pin/detent install and will probably save a few trips to the ER regarding your eyes.

The best thing about this was the ease of install. They fit well and perform as they should. I really don't see a huge difference between these and the standard take down pins that would give you a noticeable advantage. First and only enhanced take down pins I've purchased. From here on out I'll stick to standard mil-spec and save the cash.
