The selector is ambidextrous, allowing users to quickly change the status of their rifle using either hand, and the throw is designed to be smooth and seamless when traveling in either direction. Each Armaspec ST45 safety selector is machined with aluminum levers sandwiching a steel core. The levers are locked into place with Torx screws, and the key needed for installation is included. The company warns that these levers should not be used on AR lower receivers that do not have "FIRE" markings in the 45-degree position. For standard receivers, the AST90 short-throw safety lever is a better choice. The Armaspec ST45 safety selector is made in the USA and covered by the company's lifetime warranty. The selector will fit both AR-15 and AR .308 lower receivers.
