The Omega Rail features an integral QD sling swivel mount, with rotation limiter, and an uninterrupted upper rail platform. This light weight rail system is meticulously CNC machined from Aircraft Grade Aluminum and is Military Specification Type III Hard Coat Anodized. All the Omega Rail fasteners are military specification. The Omega Rail 7.0 is designed to work with carbine-length AR-15 gas systems and its exceptionally light weight makes it perfect for short rifles where size and weight are crucial performance attributes.

For the money it's OK 06/06/2018

This handguard is machined well, and installs easily, with a tight lock up to the mil-spec barrel nut. My only complaint is that there are no heatshields on this handguard. After a long session at the range, the handguard got so hot I had trouble holding onto the rifle comfortably. If you buy this item, make sure you have a good set of shooting gloves, or your range sessions will need to be kept short. I'm going to replace this with a Knight's RAS. It may not have the cool factor of being free floated, but the RAS has heat shields from the factory, and has the same amount of usable rail space.

Daniel Defense Omega Rail System 08/02/2017

I was able to install the Omega Rail in less than 15 minutes on my Bushmaster carbine. There were no fit or finish issues and it was solid at both the front and rear of the rail. My Magpul MBUS front sight attached perfectly to the front and is solid with no play what so ever. This is an outstanding product for the price!
