Direct replacement buttstock for AR-15/M16 carbines is designed to withstand the rigors of the modern battlefield. Slim stock features a sloping cheek weld for a firm fit and improved user comfort. The dual side latch release provides easy adjustments and is set up out of the way to remain snag free. Premium chrome-silicon locking spring ensures a positive long on the receiver extension tube and long service life for the stock. Very nice, VERY tight stock. (28/06/2015)

VERY tight fit, made it a little harder to slip on, but it is absolutely wobble free. Angles on butt make it quite comfortable to shoulder, new lever design is not as obscured as I expected, very easy to operate. Completely pleased! Was surprised by the magpul gray, not as dark as they appear in the pictures, definitely gives it more contrast between black oxide receivers etc.

Wanted an adjustable stock with QD integrated - This is a great stock, built well with the QD attachment I wanted. Tight fit on the buffer tube I purchased and no slop. Unsure how this could be a better product unless cost was reduced.

the next generation of Magpul quality. (08/10/2014)

After watching and reading reviews online....I pulled the trigger on this stock. It is not a disappointment. No rattle. Snug but smooth operation. A qd mount. A curved butt with pad. Whats not to like? Yet another Magpul success.

Great Stock (10/04/2015)

I have used the MOE, CTR, STR, and UBR before this. The MOE-SL is the perfect balance of all of those.

It is super tight (CTR/STR clamp like without the pinch). I have read that it is the toughest Magpul stock behind the UBR.

It weighed in at 9.7 ounces on my scale vs 9.0 ounces for my CTR so its pretty light. The QD swivel area is also better than the MOE/CTR/STR as in has more room to turn. The cheek weld area is slightly better than a CTR.

Unless you need UBR toughness (and a full pound more) or storage, then this is a perfect stock for a AR15.

Solid Stock (31/08/2015)

This stock is solid was my first thought upon installing it. It does not wiggle, when you adjust it from position to position, you can feel just how locked onto the receiver extension it is. Very worthwhile for the price you are paying and surpasses the MOE easily as well as the CTR. The only other stock that I have ever seen this solid from the Magpul line, is the UBR. Highly recommend.

VERY tight fit on my mil-spec carbine (20/08/2016)

Very pretty and sturdy. No doubt it's a quality product. But it was too tight by far. Measured my buffer tube several times, always mil-spec dimensions, but once installed, simply changing positions on this required immobilizing the muzzle and pushing/pulling with my weight.

Simply had to be out of spec, and I would like to replace it, but I'm thinking if I get another mil-spec this tight, then it's return #2. Ugh.

From reading the other reviews, I'm assuming this was simply a bad one that got past QC.

Finish and quality are exceptional.

If it fit, five stars for sure.

Rock solid stock (12/12/2017)

I have tried 3 magpul stocks withâanti-wobbleâ latches and they donât even come close to the rock solid feel of this one, it may be a bit stiff to get on and to adjust but that rock solid feel when I put it to my shoulder... it still impresses me. I have yet to see or be impressed in this way by any other stock, even on a fixed stock âstrangely enoughâ. Buy it you wonât regret it!!!
