Definitely recommended
Better than an empty slot but not perfect. 31/01/2020
BOUGHT FOR MY UBERTI 1885. DISAPPOINTED THAT IT DOESN'T HAVE THE MILLED EDGES AS DESCRIBED AND SHOWN IN THE PHOTO. IT FITS OK EXCEPT FOR A SMALL GAP BETWEEN THE BOTTOM OF IT AND THE BASE OF THE DOVETAIL, APPROX 1MM. ALSO ABOUT THE SAME BETWEEN THE DIAMOND SHAPE AND THE BARREL.

This definitely enhances the period look of my 1873 Uberti rifle. More expensive than other optional dovetail fillers, but after spending some bucks on the rifle, why scrimp over a few dollars difference. I did have to shim it, but not a big deal.
