Not recommended

Can't use the charging handle! 23/03/2018

Why would anyone design something like this it? It only allows you to the use of the charging handle of an AR15 if the stock is fully extended. I guess if you have really long arms it might be useful.

Perfect for AK with Rail-mounted Sights 02/08/2012

I have a VEPR with TWS rails, Troy rail-mounted sights, and Magpul CTR stock. The 3/4" riser is perfect for this set up. Getting a sight picture is fast and comfortable and the cheek weld is very good.

Best all around cheek riser for MOE/CTR 18/05/2011

I have all three sizes of Magpul cheek risers and found the 1/4" size the most versatile. The slight elevation works perfectly with BUIS sights as well as low mounted optics on flat top AR or AR22's. The higher risers will not allow the use of BUIS sights and are best left for high mounted optics. The snap-on assembly feature is good and does lock the riser solid to the stock. However, to separate it from the stock will require a tool to pry it out on its connecting points. I'd prefer a push button lock or lever type locking mechanism for this purpose. The black plastic adds great accent to two-tone accents combining it with OD green, Dark Earth or Foliage green stocks matched with two-tone pistol grips such as the MIAD and CAA UPG16 pistol grips utilizing interchangeable inserts. It does'nt get any better than this.
