Wrenches feature black phosphate finish for resistance to wear and corrosion, and Spikes Tactical logo. Castle Nut Wrench accepts 3/8" drive and has cutouts to fit onto standard AR-15 carbine buffer tube castle nut. USGI Barrel Nut Wrench accepts ½" drive. Features seven pins made of tool steel and TIG welded into place. Fits standard AR-15 barrel nuts. All wrenches sold separately.

Definitely recommended

I've tried 3 different wrenches in the past. This is the best. Not only does it provide a secure grip on the castle nut with its teeth but it has a shoulder about 1/4" thick. Those two things together ensure that the wrench will stay put while torquing the nut to the required 40 ft/lb.

HIGH QUALITY! 25/07/2015
I'm a professional mechanic so I appreciate a quality tool. I've used 2 other brand name castle nut wrenches, they both had the square drive for a torque wrench too far from the mouth of the wrench to be accurate. They also had a loose/sloppy fit and would mar the nut before reaching the 40ft/lbs torque value on the castle nut. The Spikes wrench has the square drive very close to the mouth of the wrench and fits very tight on the castle nut allowing you to torque the nut properly without tearing it up. This tool is what a castle nut wrench is supposed to be, period. Worth every penny...
