The Forward Control Designs AR-15 ABC/R (Augmented Bolt Catch/Release) is engineered to improve the functionality and accessibility of your AR15/M16 receiver, especially when paired with ambidextrous magazine releases. This innovative design addresses the challenges faced when accessing the factory bolt catch's lower paddle, particularly when using an ambidextrous magazine catch like Norgon's Ambi-Catch.

  • Angled and Larger Paddles: The top paddle is enlarged and features a 5-degree angle on the lower 50% and a 10-degree angle on the upper 50%, making it easier to access with your palm or thumb.
  • Enhanced Lower Paddle: The lower paddle is designed to protrude further and is angled at 10 degrees, providing increased surface area and differentiation from the ambidextrous magazine catch.
  • Tactile Notch: A notch above the lower paddle offers tactile feedback, helping users identify the beginning of the lower paddle without diverting their gaze.
  • Customisable Upper Paddle Options: Choose from FB (forward biased), standard (non-biased), or RB (rearward biased) to suit your reloading technique.
