Brownells USA Good Barrel 10/06/2018

I have the older version of this 7.62x39 barrel on an upper that I built a few years ago and wanted to try this barrel out on a new upper build. This is a good barrel from Faxon Arms. The mid length profile is great. I have not had any problems with malfunctions at all. A better and slightly thicker government tapered barrel profile, between the extension to the gas block, than the standard Government profile of the older version of this 7.62x39 barrel, Government profile for barrels is something of the past. My only suggestion for improvement to this barrel would be to eliminate the government taper profile and make the area between the extension to the gas block with at least a 0.7 thickness without the taper for better heat dissipation from rapid shooting and increase barrel rigidity.
