The Aero Precision AR-15 5.56mm 16" Carbine Upper Receiver is designed for those looking to create a reliable and versatile firearm. This upper receiver closely resembles the military’s M4 flattop upper and comes fully assembled, minus the charging handle and bolt/carrier group, allowing you to choose aftermarket components tailored to your preferences.

  • Barrel: 16" high-grade chrome-moly-vanadium carbon steel
  • Finish: Tough, corrosion- and scratch-resistant black QPQ finish (other steel parts are Parkerized)
  • Chamber: Compatible with 5.56mm NATO ammunition, safe for civilian .223 Remington ammo
  • Rifling: 1-7" for optimal stability with popular bullet weights
  • Gas System: Standard CARBINE-LENGTH
  • Receiver: Forged 7075 T6 aluminum, hardcoat anodized in matte black
  • Gas Block: Pinned A2 gas block/front sight base with bayonet lug
