The ultimate K.I.S.S. sight ! 10/12/2012

My RRA M4 build is based on reliability for the long haul. At 58 my eyes also need consideration. I find this sight to be built like a tank but low in weight.

First impression is the larger aperature is more help than previous sights rings.

This sight is not compromised by traveling in my soft case as previous other sights have done.

I bought a 2 sided tool that is small on one end to adjust the front sight pin and larger at the other end for adjusting the aperature and both make life easier.

Sight was easy to sight in and has remained "locked" in position. My red dot is set to lower 1/3rd co-witness so I dont need to flip up, flip down, flip up... I simply look over the ring with head up for quicker acquisitions.

I have finally found a rear sight I can trust and like to use. Thumbs up !

Light + strong = good 15/11/2011

I own two of these: one on 9mm carbine and one on 16,5" AR. Wanted a light and simple solution for rear sight. It has all thats needed for close to medium range sighting and nothing more.

Adjustment of windage will not change by accident. Actually it's quite hard when you want to adjust it too! Have used a tip of 5.56 round to press the plunger and screwdriver to adjust the setting.

I do not like the screw DD uses for tightening. The screw is quite soft and driver tends to slip unless it fits perfectly. Torx screw would be the answer.

The aperture used in these is low quality. I have seen three sights and the aperture varies from awful to tolerable. The peeps are not in the center and the aperture is visibly off horizontally. Aperture can be changed afterwards.

Despite all this I would recommend to buy this if flip up feature is not needed. The cons are not so remarkable.
