Even the integral gas "key" is machined as part of the carrier - no fasteners to worry about working loose. Faxon also designed the 9mm AR-15 Full-Mass Bolt / Carrier Group to be compatible with lower receivers that use Colt-style stick mags and those configured for Glock® pistol mags. It also has the correct shroud length to trip the auto sear on full-auto rifles; has no impact on function of semi-autos. Fully heat-treated for hardness & wear-resistance QPQ salt-bath Nitride coated for lubricity and corrosion resistance Easy-to-remove weight pinned in place can be removed for compatibility with all buffer systems 15 oz. wt To avoid slam-fires, the 9mm AR-15 Full-Mass Bolt / Carrier Group’s firing pin is captured with a dedicated pin and spring. Extractor is easily serviced and contoured for consistent purchase on the case rim for reliable extraction.
