Worth every penny 20/06/2012
Like everyone else, I used the square patches since I was a kid. But in the last 6 years, I have bought two Otis cleaning kits containing their unique and higher quality patches. Each patch contains 6 slots, and with directions from the Otis website, they will fit everything from a .22 to 9mm, to .45 cal, merely by selecting the correct slot, and pinching it through the cleaning rod per the instructions.
This particular patch is higher quality than the ones I'm used to finding at the gun shops, and the main advantage is that you get three complete new positions, instead of throwing out the patch after each swipe. Once you factor this in, these patches are worth the money, especially since you don't have to buy different sizes for various calibers. It's all I use now, and less expensive from Brownells than from Otis direct.
There are no cons to this product. All their gun cleaning supplies are first rate.

After using these for the 1st time on an AR-15 I was impressed. Have continued using them for two years now and will not return to square patches. These remove about 4 times the dirt with every pass. Since each patch can be pass thru up to 6 times the price is reasonable.
