The 45° MUZZLE/CYLINDER CHAMFERING CUTTER & STEEL PILOT from BROWNELLS is designed to break sharp edges on rifle and handgun muzzles, ensuring a clean bullet exit and faster cylinder filling on revolvers.
Product Description
This 45° chamfering cutter effectively breaks the edges of the rifling, allowing for a smooth bullet exit, or it can chamfer revolver cylinder chamber mouths for quick reloads. The set includes:
- The cutter
- A handle
- One pilot
All components are conveniently packaged in a durable polypropylene box. The interchangeable pilot ensures that the cutter remains properly aligned during use. For versatility, you can purchase extra pilots to use one cutter across many different calibers. Pilots for other calibers are available separately.
The 45° Cutter supplied in sets marked with an * has a diameter of 5/8" to correctly chamfer the larger barrel and cylinder mouths on specified calibers. All other sets feature a ½" diameter, 45° cutter.
Specifications
- Chamfer Cutter: Hardened steel, 3¼" (8.25cm) long (except .165" cutter, which is 2-3/8" (6cm) long), ½" (12.7mm) or 5/8" (15.8mm) diameter as required.
- Handle: Aluminum, 3½" (8.9cm) long, 3 oz. (85 g).
- Pilot: Hardened steel, 1¼" (3.2cm) long. .45 ACP Pilots include .45 ACP-1 which fits S&W model 25 & 625, and .45 ACP-2 which fits Colt 1917.
All items are packaged in a robust polypropylene box, ensuring they remain in excellent condition for your next gunsmithing project.
