Rail Mount
Exactly what I was looking for! 31/07/2018
Exactly what I wanted in order to mount a flashlight and sling mount on my Moss 590 shotgun. I used a 1" scope ring to mount the flashlight to the side rail. No issues putting the mount onto the shotgun. Just unscrewed the cap, pulled the barrel up and slide the mount onto the magazine tube. Once I had it where I wanted, I tightened the two screw and I'm all set. I will add a bit of thread locker to the screw just to be on the safe side.
Doesn't fit Remington Model 887 08/11/2012
I purchased the LITE MOUNT TECHNOLOGIES 26MM 3-RAIL SHOTGUN MOUNT for my new Remington 887 tactical shotgun even though the magazine tube measures 27.5MM in diameter. When I recieved it, it would not fit on the magazine tube since the split where the clamping screws are located are un-even meaning the that the inside diameter (I.D.) is not round. So I tighten the clamping screws so the ID would be as round as possible. Next I had to machine the I.D. to a larger size (27MM). The fit test show that I had to use the I.D. expander to fit it on the magazine tube and it finally did fit. The next problem was installing the barrel. The semi-circle barrel/magazine tube gap filler would not let the barrel mount, it was too thick for the gap between the barrel/magazine tube on the 887. I had to totally remove it. Finally the rail mount fit and was useable on the gun. I rated this product a 3 since it is well manufactured and would most likely fit and on a standard 870 which has smaller diameter magazine tubes and larger gaps between the barrel and magazine.
