Roughers are .010" smaller in diameter than the final size, do not cut the throat area and should be used to save wear on the Finish Reamer when many chambers are to be cut. If only a few chambers will be cut, a Finish Reamer is all you need.

Description

Manufactured by Clymer, a dedicated team of firearm enthusiasts, these reamers are made from the highest quality M-7 High-Speed Steel. They are precision tools tailored for the professional gunsmith, ensuring exceptional performance and longevity.

Each rougher is .010" smaller in diameter than the final size, allowing for optimal use without cutting the throat area. This design is particularly beneficial when multiple chambers need to be cut, as it preserves the wear on the Finish Reamer. For those occasions when only a few chambers are required, a Finish Reamer will suffice.

Specifications

Rifle Reamers: 6, right-hand cutting, straight flutes. Solid pilot, integral throat. Available in Rougher and Finisher styles.
Shank Sizes: 7/16" round shank with 3/8" square drive; ¼" round shank on .22 RF.
Pistol Reamers: 6, right-hand cutting, straight flutes. Solid pilot, integral throat.
Pilot Diameters: Available for Single Shot or Semi-Auto pistol and rifle barrels; Cylinder for Revolver cylinders.
Shank Sizes: 7/16" dia. shank with 3/8" square drive, depending on caliber; ¼" round shank on .22 RF. Stocked in Finisher style only.
