Hardened-Alloy Steel For Durability & Long Life

Specifically designed for durability and extra-long service life. EDM, wire cut, then CNC, finish machined from A-2 tool steel and hardened to Rc 48-52 so they hold a finely-stoned edge for thousands and thousands of rounds without failure. Pre-prepped hooks and sear face require only final stoning to achieve a clean, crisp trigger pull. Tactical II hammer features relieved sides and chamfered edges to reduce slide drag and clothing wear. All parts checked for proper hardness.

SPECS: A-2 tool steel, in-the-white or Stainless Steel, Rc 48-52.

I used this hammer to dress up a Springfield Armory mil spec 1911 A1. I also used the matching sear and it cleaned up the trigger pull to 4 lbs 6 ozs and is smooth as glass. The sides of the hammer required fine polishing, but works like a dream!

I use these hammers in my shop on a regular basis. They hold the action job, are easy to install, and consistent dimensioning for a easily repeated installation on all new guns.

I strongly recommend them.

I ordered this hammer and a C&S sear to freshen up my Springer 1911. Together, these items created a crisp, glass like trigger break with no modification needed to the engagement surfaces. Pull weight is very consistant. The finish is excellent, looks and feels very well made. The hammer pin hole was tight, but the pin pressed in easily.
