The rails provide an extremely smooth surface that further encourages smooth feeding. The key is putting extra metal on the feed lip area, then rolling it inward for a huge increase in overall rigidity of this area. The Chip McCormick .45 ACP Railed Power Mag also has a mag body of corrosion-resistant stainless steel with laser welded seams so there are no snags when inserting or dropping the mag from the magwell. The spring is McCormick's proprietary high tensile strength Rocket Wire with plenty of energy to keep even a full round stack moving. 10-Round capacity Stainless steel mag tube Black polymer base pad is beveled to accommodate mag wells Witness holes The Chip McCormick .45 ACP Railed Power Mag have been independently tested and proven to have twice the service life of ordinary 1911 mags.
