Fixed rear sight fits the GI-pattern dovetail and provides an improved sight picture while maintaining your pistol’s stock appearance. An extra-wide .135" notch puts more light around the front blade to aid in faster target acquisition. 50 lpi horizontal serrations on the rear face help eliminate glare. A setscrew locks the sight into the dovetail for a secure installation that won’t shoot loose, yet still allows drift adjustments for windage. Rounded corners help resist snagging during the draw from concealment. Precision machined from steel barstock to look good and handle the knocks of daily carry. The 1911 Retro Rear U Notch Sight is made to the same specs as the standard, square notch rear sight but instead features a .138" U notch.Delivery time approx. 7-14 days.

Excellent Sight 18/06/2012
Purchased a Colt Series 80 which arrived with a loose staked front sight. Sent it in to Colt to have it repaired and decided to have them replace the rear sight as well with the Harrison Design Retro Rear. I'm becoming more of a minimalist and this sight does an excellent job of maintaining the classic look of the 1911 while also providing a great set of sights to look through which function as good as they look once installed. Very Solid, smooth, and rugged.

I had John Harrison install this sight and a blended dovetail wide front sight on an otherwise stock M1911A1 to maintain the weapon's classic, functional lines. It helps immensely to have a very good, visible sight picture while maintaining a clean "As issued" or "OEM out-of-the box" profile.
The sights are both solid and functional.
