Quality "Factory" Replacement

Made to original specifications for rebuilding existing guns or assembling new guns built to factory Government or Commander configurations. Heat-treated, recoil spring plug resists wear and battering. Checkered recoil spring plug gives a traditional look - just like the Colt factory part.

i purchased this plug to replace the the plug on a stainless Taurus PT1911. it does not fit. the inside dimensions of this plug will not allow it to be depressed enuf for the barrel bushing to clear it for install. this is not a reflection on the quality of the product, just letting you know it wont fit Taurus.

Used this on a full size, stainless gun. Works great and looks great. If your gun has a full length guide rod, don't forget to get a standard lenght unit!

great part. bought it to swap out the full length guide rod in my Taurus PT 1911. Pretty much drop in. only thing that kept it from a perfect rating in my book was that the finish is already going away after about 2 months. Not a big deal as my gun is carried and has a lot of rounds through it, but worth noting either way.

Good fit and color match. (01/11/2013)

I used this to replace a full length guide rod plug in my Rock Island Armory 1911 A-1 FS. Along with an Ed Brown government recoil spring guide and a Wolff 18.5 lb. government model variable power recoil spring, I was able to ditch the FLGR and associated impostor parts. Now it works as it was designed and makes for an easier field strip.

Sufficient but Not as described (28/11/2013)

I honestly cannot give it less than 5 stars because there is nothing wrong with it, but I wanted to point out to any potential buyers that this particular one is BLUED. The picture doesn't look black until its enlarged and juxtaposed against the next one down (which is black) assures your that it is stainless. Had I read the description and not trusted the picture I would have seen. No one to blame but myself, but thought you guys might want to know.

as previous reviewer mentioned its blued, see 2nd pic, but looks great, especially for the price. perfect fit with my Springer Loaded and the Wilson Flat spring/rod kit i also swapped in.
