Full Length stainless steel rod guards against recoil spring bind for improved feeding and extraction. True, one-piece design with takedown hole has no threads to loosen or wear. Fits Government models with 5" barrels.

Brownells USA Needs work 07/12/2014

The useless take-down hole is drilled too far from the tip. It is covered by the dust cover on a Colt frame. Needs the hole drilled 1/8" - 1/4" forward and the spring plug punched (to engage the spring) to be the perfect product.

Ordered to replace a two piece, full length guide rod on on older Springfield Loaded. Good looking part, even if I'm the only one that will ever see the bluing. Tight fit on the spring, much tighter than I've seen before, just makes takedown a little easier with the recoil spring secured.
